Weekly Prayer

Fathers_Day_1.png

On Sunday, we give thanks for all the dads, grandfathers, uncles, and special people in our lives who love, guide, and support us each day. Father’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the important role these people play in our families and communities.

On behalf of our school community, we wish all dads and special father figures a very happy Father’s Day. May today bring moments of joy, gratitude, and connection with those you hold dear.

St Brigid's Primary School Ballan wishes to acknowledge respectfully the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, work, learn, play and gather.

3 - Way Conferences

3-Way Conferences will take place again this afternoon. 3-Way Conferences will be 10 minutes in duration. Given the nature of these meetings, it is expected that all students attend the conferences with their parents.

Father’s Day Gift Stall – Thursday 4 September

fathers_day.png

On Thursday 4th September, our P&F will be facilitating a Father’s Day Stall. On this day, children are invited to bring $10 to school to purchase a gift for their dads or special people in their lives. Sales will take place from 9:00am – 11:00am.

Father’s Day Celebration at St Brigid’s - this Friday!

On Friday 5th September, we are excited to welcome fathers and special people in our lives to our Father’s Day Breakfast and Liturgy. We will commence our celebration with breakfast from 8:30am in the Gathering Space.

As this breakfast is for fathers and special people only, children are required to be dropped off to school from 8:30am as per usual.

Following breakfast, our Liturgy will commence at 9:15am at St Brigid’s church and will be attended by the whole school.

St Brigid’s Parents & Friends Committee

Our next P&F meeting will take place on Monday 20th October from 3.15pm - 4.00pm in our school Library. An active P&F committee allows families the opportunity to play a valuable part in providing social and fundraising activities.  Please attend this meeting if you are interested in joining our P&F committee. Any help would be greatly appreciated as all funds raised contribute to resources and materials to support your children in their holistic development.

Cadbury Chocolate boxes - P & F Fundraiser

Our Parents & Friends team is kicking off a delicious fundraising drive for Term 3, and we need your sweet support!

chocolates.png

Boxes of Cadbury chocolates are now available from the school office for just $60 each. Each box is packed with a tempting selection of treats—perfect for sharing, gifting, or indulging yourself!

All funds raised go directly towards supporting our school community. Please return all money by Friday 10th October 2025.

Let’s make this fundraiser a sweet success! Grab your box today and help us spread the chocolatey joy!

School Counsellor/Pastoral Care

Suzanne Beaver will again be at St Brigids every Tuesday this year.

Beaver_Suzanne.jpg

Suzanne is available for individual sessions with children. Common issues addressed are managing strong emotions, self esteem, friendship issues, anxiety, and family challenges such as illness, grief and separation.

Suzanne is also available for individual sessions with parents. Topics can include a range of parenting challenges, i.e. managing strong emotions, school reluctance, helping your child form strong friendships, and helping your child to navigate family separation.

Suzanne can also assist you in finding the right external support for your child and family.

This is a great service provided right here at school. Please don't hesitate to contact Suzanne with any concerns you might have. Contact Suzanne by phone on a Tuesday or by email any day sbeaver@sbballan.catholic.edu.au.

You can also access the service through the office or your classroom teacher.
